Can’t Help But CravePortland
Honestly, people can make life look hard sometimes.
Why are rocks thrown at things that shine?
CravePortland is not about throwing rocks at those that shine. It stands for all those that shine and wants to stand with others whom shine, or wish to share. It provides tools to be better, feel empowered, and get connected! My first day as a @CravePortland intern for the FLip it! event, I met a prime bunch of intelligentsia.
Quick run down of key speakers:
• Dana Layon, whom is an author and yoga instructor, spoke of expression of spiritual self and slowing down enough to really hear your own inner voice. Her true connection to women and stories of the amount of scary that can go into facing fear was inspiring.
• Leanna Carreon, whom is a designer and owner of Leanna NYC, discussed her sales floor “trenches.” She articulated a story of how expression of self can be brought out in clothing. It was beautiful how she was so understanding of women and insecurities that can be exuded without realization.
• Jennifer Power, whom is a speaker and author, spoke of the feelings of conformity and how to break through to a bright outlook on the world. Her wittiness and boldness attracted all.
This was an enlightening panel tale about considering to do the exact opposite of whatever it is you are doing at the time – Flip it! Taking time out of the day to reflect and imagine how things could be done differently.
Women Be Crazy.
Ever hear that?
It is crazy that conformity is so powerful. It is crazy how the “roles” of society have left people more then confused. It is crazy that age can strip you of something that at one time you were certain could never be. It is crazy that love is made to look hard. It is crazy that the mere discussion of any of these topics can leave you lost and bewildered.
Life is “crazy.” And after this Flip it! event, after every movie, every magazine, every online article, and every social media account – I learn. I learn to build, change, and rebuild. I take things as they come and change my mind from time to time.
I take these “learning’s” and put them into my personal brand – @NattieMoee.
I do real.
I do bold.
I do mistakes.
I do love.
I do family.
I do passion.
I do debate.
I do change.
Build your brand and build it right. YOU ARE THE AD.
The actions you take on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc. are considered promotional content. When you click that thumbs-up button, you are telling the world that you “like” something. You are building your personal brand every time you touch online sites and every time you chat with someone. So getting your personal brand right the first time will minimize risk in the future.
Both “flipping it” and building your brand will come easier if you find at least three core values and make sure that this are exuded in everything you say, do, and want to do. You do change, but core values are less likely to change, so you can stay away from “I don’t know what my core values are” thought process. Think! You know what they are. Conforming to others core values will leave you nowhere and lost. Not only will knowing core values make you a better person, employee, friend, etc. but it will be make you a HAPPY person. And this world can use all of the smiling it can get.
Coca- Cola is the brand for me. This brand gets me to smile every time and aligns with my personal values. The “Open Happiness” global marketing campaign started in 2009, especially.
One of their spots inspiring true happiness – Magic
For nerdy cola fans like me – Here is the popular commercial song with full lyrics.
